Leranda Ridge Alpaca Stud (Q alpaca no. 05/0125) is owned and operated by Peter & Cath Bishop. We are located in the New England tablelands, 55kms north of Glen Innes, only 15 kms off the New England Highway with sealed road access.

We are currently stocked with approximately 75 alpacas being a combination of breeding females, crias, weanlings and stud working males. We do not run any other livestock.
Over the past four years we have developed our herd to now consist of predominately white and light fawn huacaya alpacas. Our decision to concentrate on breeding excellent quality white and light fawns was made considering the requirements of the commercial market of at least 70% white fibre.

We are now seriously focused on producing fine, bundling fleeces with small staples, density and minimal medullation (guard hair). To help achieve this goal we have put a lot of effort and time into the choice and selection of our superbly bred stud sires with which we are now moving forward and making great improvements.
