Since relocating to our new farm at Stannum, on the Northern Tablelands, we have been extremely busy with building and fencing. It is finally all coming together and our paddocks are very serviceable with connecting lanes making the various aspects of alpaca work manageable. Our next task is to build a cedar barn for the animals which is getting underway.
We have had a delightful summer with 29 degrees as our highest temp. However, we are now preparing for a cold winter. Our pacas are thriving and seem to love their new home.
Our first embryo transfer crias for this year have arrived with the highlight being three lovely little girls from Windsong Valley Rose Gold/Andean Park Ringmaster (see photo). We are having a further drop in August. We are now in preparation for our first Stannum ET program to be carried out in May.
